Two females have been charged over the aggravated robbery of a Waikato dairy that saw a worker attacked.

Police say three females entered Tuakau's Five Star Dairy shortly after 8pm on Sunday night and demanded cash.

They then allegedly stole cigarettes and other items, while one of the females also allegedly assaulted a dairy worker punching them multiple times.

Two teenagers have been arrested and will be appearing in the Youth Court tomorrow on aggravated robbery charges.

Police say the alleged offenders then fled the store with the items.

Detective Sergeant Nathan Reid says inquiries are ongoing to locate the third wanted person who has now been identified.

Police are unable to rule out further charges.
