Two teenagers have been arrested following an incident outside a petrol station which left one man with a serious head injury.
Police were called to an altercation between two group of people at the Z Service Station on High Street in Motueka about 2.20am yesterday.
A 29-year-old man suffered a serious head injury during the incident.
A 15-year-old female and 16-year-old male have been arrested and charged with injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and injuring with the intent to injure.
The accused will appear in Nelson Youth Court on Wednesday.

The injured man is said to be in a stable condition at Nelson Hospital. Police say he is expected to make a full recovery.
