Two injured, one critically, in fiery motorcycle crash in Bay of Plenty

Two people are injured, one critically, following a fiery motorcycle crash today.

Emergency services were called to the crash involving two motorcycles on Te Puke Highway at 11.20am.

One motorcycle caught fire following the crash, police said in a statement.

One person has critical injuries and another had moderate injuries.

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson said one crew from Te Puke attended the crash.

Diversions are in place and motorists are asked to take alternative routes where possible.
