Two dead following three-motorcycle crash near Invercargill

Two motorcyclists have died and another was critically injured following a crash this afternoon near Invercargill.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Fairfax Isla Bank Road and Riverton Otautau Road at 12.45pm. 

The crash involved three motorcyclists and three riders, with no other vehicles involved, police said. 

Emergency services and the Serious Crash Unit are at the scene. 

The road is expected to be closed for some time, police said.
