TVNZ FC: Bale on the block as Zidane returns, Phoenix ruthless, and shocking attack on Grealish

March 13, 2019

Chris Chang and the panel on the changes at Real Madrid, a big win in the A-League and a disturbing trend of fans running onto the pitch in England.

Zinedine Zidane’s sudden return as manager of Real Madrid is bad news for Wales star Gareth Bale, according to the TVNZ FC panel.

The Frenchman is not thought to have a good relationship with Bale, and he wanted him out before he quit as coach last Northern summer. He is thought to be keen on bringing in Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.

The panel also debate what the return means for Sergio Ramos, a potential “bad apple” in the dressing room.

The Phoenix’s record 8-2 win over the Central Coast mariners also comes features, as does the “shocking” punch by a spectator on Aston Villa player Jack Grealish by a Birmingham City fan at the weekend.

Coming amid a series of incidents of fans running onto the pitch and confronting players, the panel ask if British football needs to take sterner action to crack down.
