It will continue tomorrow.

The 43-year-old accused denied all charges when the trial began before a jury of five men and seven women yesterday.

Opening the Crown's case prosecutor Chris Macklin said the alleged offending spanned a 15-year period from 2003 to 2016, occurring at locations across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato.

It's the Crown's contention the offending began when the girl was 10, the defendant 24.

The defendant's lawyer, Martin Hine, said the man regarded the allegations as vile, repulsive and delusions of his accuser's mind.

The charges are one of indecent assault on a child, 25 sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection, 17 sexual violation by rape, two injuring with intent, two of assaulting a female, two of indecent assault and one of assault with intent to commit sexual violation.
