Travellers no longer need to fill out departure cards when leaving NZ

November 5, 2018

The removal of the cards is expected to save travellers a combined 100,000 hours.

Travellers will no longer have to fill out departure cards when leaving Aotearoa from today.

Around 6.5 million cards are completed annually and their removal is expected to save travellers more than 100,000 hours.

The Government has announced the country’s airports will phase out the forms.

The decision was announced by the Immigration and Customs Ministers in August this year.
