Tourism NZ has partnered up with National Geographic to capture what makes us different from the rest - and it isn't our natural landscapes or snow-capped mountains.
What brings in 3.8 million tourists every year isn't just the sights and sounds, but our 'manaakitanga' - our hospitality.
National Geographic's Andrew Nelson said: "We're in beautiful places a lot, but I think what's really important to understand about New Zealand [is] it's not just the place - it's the people".
