A person remains trapped in a car in a critical condition over an hour after a crash in Southland this morning.

At approximately 10am, two cars collided near Invcercargill at the intersection of Rimu Road and Longbush South Road
Two other people were involved in the crash, with one person in a critical condition with head injuries and a third suffering serious injuries.
Both of them have been taken to hospital.
