Three people dead after two-car crash in Far North

Three people are dead after a two-car crash on State Highway 1 in the Far North.

Police were called to the scene near Towai around 2.17pm this afternoon.

Part of State Highway 1 is blocked while the Serious Crash Unit carries out their scene examination.

There are delays expected in the area.
