Three charged over meth raids targeting Mongrel Mob 'Barbarians' gang in Bay of Plenty

Two women and a man have been charged following four police searches targeting the supply of meth by the Mongrel Mob "Barbarians" gang in Opotiki, Bay of Plenty.

The search warrants were executed this morning as part of an operation targeting meth dealing in the town.

Three Opotiki residents - a 40 year-old female, 40-year-old male and 27-year-old female - will appear in the Whakatane District Court tomorrow on a range of drugs charges.

Detective Senior Sergeant Standen said the four properties searched were connected to the Mongrel Mob "Barbarians" gang.
