Thousands of people attend vigils in Christchurch, Dunedin for mosque attack victims

More vigils are taking place for victims of the Christchurch terror attack tonight.

Thousands of people are streaming into Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium to honour those lost in the attack.

Originally, the vigil was due to take place in the city centre's Octagon, but a large amount of public interest saw it shifted to the stadium.

In Christchurch, another vigil is taking place in Latimer Square.

The city's different Christian denominations are coming together to offer prayers and support to the Muslim community.

They're also praying for the first responders from the emergency services and all of those who've been affected by this terrible tragedy.
