Thousands flock to NZ's largest entertainment expo in Auckland

The force is strong in Auckland this weekend at the Armageddon Pop Culture Expo, which features some big film names like Keisha Castle-Hughes (Game of Thrones, Whale Rider) and Manu Bennett (The Hobbit, Spartacus).

The event is New Zealand's largest entertainment expo, which celebrates games, comics, science fiction and fantasy. It is now into its 12th year.

The expo managed to stop traffic. Greenlane's streets were gridlocked as characters galore flocked to the ASB Showgrounds for the event.

Rain probably boosted numbers at the event with more than 70,000 people attending the expo yesterday, according to organisers.

The event continues from 10am today.
