A teenager in hospital in a serious condition after she was stabbed in Auckland's CBD this afternoon knew her attacker.
The 18-year-old woman was attacked on Anzac Ave, Auckland Central around 3pm.
Police say the victim knew her attacker and an 18-year-old man has been arrested over the incident.
"This was not a random attack and the two people involved are known to each other," says Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Armstrong.
The patient is currently in Auckland Hospital.
