Dunedin Airport has reopened after a suspicious was found on the airfield.
Police say the suspicious item, found yesterday evening, turned out to be a hoax object.
The NZDF Explosive Ordinance team neutralised the hoax object, and the scene where it was found has been secured.
Police say inquiries are ongoing to establish who left the object.
