At 10pm New Zealand time last night, the Privy Council in London handed down its decision, clearing Mr Pora of the murder and rape of Aucklander Susan Burdett in 1992.

The hashtag #TeinaPora quickly began to trend on Twitter as people celebrated "justice being dealt" for the man who spent 22 years in custody. Mr Pora has always fiercely maintained his innocence.
