A pipe band has welcomed the community onto the grounds of Centre Park in Mangere, Auckland this evening.
Around 100 people have come with flowers to pay their respects to those killed in the Christchurch attacks.
Mats have been laid on the grass and organisers are encouraging people to sit together "united".
Auckland Mayor Phil Goff and Minister for Pacific Peoples Aupito Tofae Su'a William Sio are in attendance.
