Smoke-filled Qantas plane makes emergency landing at Auckland Airport

Smoke in the cabin has forced a Qantas aircraft to make an emergency landing at Auckland Airport today.

The plane, a Boeing 737. landed safely.

An Auckland Airport spokesperson says flight QF144 departed from Auckland at 1:19pm and returned back to Auckland because of reports of smoke on board due to an oven.

Authorities had gone into full emergency mode around 1.40pm.
