Sixteen-year-old identified as person killed in South Auckland workplace accident

Police today named the person killed in a workplace incident  in Auckland's Ōtāhuhu on Monday.

He was 16-year-old Shaldin Joyce.

"Our sympathies are with his family during this difficult time," police said in a statement.

On Monday, police said they were called to a commercial address on Savill Drive, Ōtāhuhu, about 1.30pm.

WorkSafe told 1 NEWS it is investigating the death, and said a forklift was involved.
