Sixteen families record upbeat version of Ngā iwi e for Nelson's Virtual Heritage Festival

The Voice Collective has invited 16 families in Nelson to be part of a project, recording the song Ngā iwi e for the region’s Virtual Heritage Festival.

The group’s leader Tanya wrote the four part harmony arrangement guided by a backing track and taught the families their individual parts.

The 16 families then recorded their parts and sent them back to be pieced together.

They came from the Voice Collective, Nelson Central School and Nelson Centre of Musical Arts communities.
