A six-year-old boy died in a two-vehicle crash in Northland on New Year’s Day

Police announced today that Wellingtonian Myka Tuala was killed in the crash on State Highway 1 in Hikurangi on Friday afternoon.

“Our thoughts are with his family at this time,” police said in a statement.

A further five people were injured in the crash.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing.
