Six people have been injured following a serious two-car crash between a truck and trailer and a ute in the eastern Bay of Plenty this morning.
The incident occurred on Waiotahe Beach Road, in Opotiki, at 9am.
One person was transported to Gisborne Hospital in a moderate condition.
The road has been closed and diversions are in place.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area if possible.
