Dunedin's St Paul's Cathedral hit by early morning fire

Fire and Emergency NZ attended the scene at around 3.30am, August 11.

Firefighters have now contained a blaze at St Paul’s cathedral in Dunedin's city centre this morning.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand were called to the scene at around 3.30am.

A spokesperson told 1 NEWS the fire is contained.

Seven crews were working to put out the fire. 

A turntable ladder aerial was also being used by crews to help fight it.

Fire and Emergency says a fire investigator will be attending the scene this morning.
