Sentencing delayed for man who filmed himself coughing on Christchurch shoppers

Raymond Coombs was remanded in custody on April 6 over the alleged incident three days earlier.

The sentencing of Raymond Coombs - the man who filmed himself coughing and sneezing in a Christchurch supermarket amid the Covid-19 pandemic - has been adjourned until June 16.

He pleaded guilty to a charge of offensive behaviour on April 6, following the incidents at Barrington Fresh Choice.

He appeared via video link at the Christchurch District Court today.

He has been remanded in custody, having previously breached his bail conditions.
