A search and rescue mission is underway after a man failed to come home from a fishing trip in the Twizel-Tekapo area on Saturday.
The man’s car was found at the Irishman Creek yesterday, south of Lake Tekapo, police said.
The man was reported missing on Sunday evening.
Police are searching the Tekapo Canal today with a dive squad.
