For his efforts he received the 1 NEWS Ross Stevens scholarship for Most Promising Journalism student and an internship at TVNZ in Wellington.
An action-packed six month internship included covering major events such as the Mark Lundy retrial and the Kapiti floods putting Sean in good stead to move to Auckland as a Junior Reporter.
However, being a born and bred Wellingtonian, he missed the capital's calm weather and constantly feared for his life on Auckland roads. So, Sean quickly took up his current role as the Wellington Breakfast Reporter where he's learning the joys of starting at four in the morning five days a week.
Sean loves a good story from breaking news, sport, to the yarns spun over a pint at the local.
A self confessed sporting tragic he's suffered through the highs and lows of Wellington sports teams from the round ball to the oval variety. He'll talk anything sport, just don't mention the 2015 Super 15 final.
