Scene examinations will continue over the coming days after a man was fatally stabbed in Christchurch on Saturday night.
Police say the man, who was in his 40s, managed to drive away from a property after an altercation at a Wainui Street property in Riccarton, police said in a statement last night.
He was later found on another street and died a short time later.
A 31-year-old's due in the Christchurch District Court today charged with his murder. A 38-year-old man is facing one charge of assault.
