US/New Zealand orbital satellite launch company Rocket Lab is setting up for its first commercial launch later this month.

The company said in a release that a 14-day launch window will open on April 20, with launches possible every 72 hours between 12.30pm and 4.30pm each day.

Two clients have already been lined up for the launch, which Rocket Lab has named 'It's Business Time' in an homage to the Flight of the Conchords song.

The two clients are satellite analytics and information companies GeoOptics and Spire Global.

Launches will take place at Rocket Lab's facility on the Mahia Peninsula in Hawke's Bay.
