Raw video: Traffic slows to a crawl as scrub fire burns at the side of busy South Auckland motorway

A scrub fire has broken out next to a busy South Auckland motorway this afternoon.

A tweet from the New Zealand Transport Authority showed footage of the fire burning between the southbound on-ramp and the South-Western link motorway in Manukau this afternoon.

1 NEWS was told two fire trucks were dispatched to the scene.

It's unclear how the fire started at this stage.
