Police staff seriously injured at Rotorua Police Station after man 'became aggressive'

Two police staff members have been taken to hospital after being seriously injured at Rotorua Police Station.

A man "became aggressive" at around 11.40am today and two police staff were injured, a police spokesperson confirmed to 1 NEWS.

The two staff members suffered serious injuries and have been taken to Rotorua Hospital for treatment.

Police say the man remains in custody and further information about the incident will be released when available.
