A police standoff with a woman standing on the roof of a South Auckland home has ended in her arrest this afternoon.

A police spokesperson told 1 NEWS that officers were attending an incident where a woman was standing on the roof of a house in Mangere after a police pursuit through the nearby domain.

It's believed she had been on the roof since 10am.

A cordon has now been lifted.
