Police seek information after releasing photos of victim and vehicle in central Auckland homicide case

Police are appealing for public assistance in the suspected homicide case of 55-year-old Shannon Shelby Baker, who was found dead in the central Auckland suburb of Sandringham on Tuesday morning.

Baker was found dead at an address on Calgary Street in Sandringham.

Police have released photos and want to speak to anyone who saw Baker or his vehicle, a green Mercedes with registration FCG929, on Monday night or in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The last known sighting of his vehicle was exiting the western motorway at St Lukes at 10.25pm on Monday.

“Anyone who may have seen this vehicle in the area on Monday night or in the early hours of Tuesday morning is urged to come forward to Police,” Detective Inspector Aaron Pascoe, Auckland City Police, said.

“We are working to piece together what happened in the lead up to his death and want to hear from anyone who was in recent contact with Shannon or may have seen him on Monday night,” Detective Inspector Pascoe said.

“Any information could be vital to the investigation.”
