Police have released an image of a red car as they appeal for more information on the Christchurch crash that left three teens dead earlier this month.

Glenn Mcallister, 16, his brother Craig, 13, and Brooklyn Taylor, 13 were killed when a stolen vehicle they were driving hit police spikes and crashed into a tree after an aborted police chase on January 13.

All three young boys died in the crash.

Today, police released an image of a red vehicle, seen travelling down Blenheim Road about 11.10pm on the night of the crash.

They are urging the driver to get in touch with them over the incident.

Anyone who was in the area of Moorhouse Avenue or Blenheim Road around 11pm and saw the white Mazda prior to the crash, or the crash itself, is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Brad Grainger on 03 363 7400.
