Police lay drink driving charge over fatal incident near Whangarei

Police say they have charged a 30-year-old man with drink driving after a 34-year-old woman died in Whangarei.

Police said in a release yesterday that it was believed the woman may have fallen from a car on Whareora Road.

They were called to the scene about 4pm yesterday.

The man appeared at Whangarei District Court this morning.
