Police launch homicide investigation over death of one-year-old in Auckland

Police investigating the death of a baby in Auckland have today launched a homicide investigation.

Police were called to a property in Clover Park late on Saturday.

Despite attempts to revive the one-year-old, the baby died at the scene.

"A post-mortem has been carried out and police have a team of detectives investigating this matter," police said in a statement.

"At this early stage in our investigation, no person or persons has been arrested or charged."
