PM Jacinda Ardern lends her voice to children's classic Peter and the Wolf

November 19, 2017

The PM was joined by a cast of puppets and a six-piece indie band in an Auckland theatre.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is lending her voice to an unlikely cause - narrating a performance of children's classic Peter and the Wolf.

The show, remixed by Silo, swaps an orchestra for a six-piece indie band, including an electric guitar.

Ms Ardern is just one of a star-studded line-up of narrators which reinvents Peter and the Wolf with a modern twist.

Other narrators include Moana star Rachel House, industry stars and popular broadcasters.

Peter and the Wolf will play at the Aotea Centre's Herald Theatre from November 9 to December 9.
