Pharmacists in the Northland DHB will strike tomorrow in response to not receiving a settlement offer for their collective agreement.

A strike notice has been issued by the APEX-represented Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians for a complete withdrawal of labour commencing tomorrow at 7:30am and ending 24 hours later.

"It is extremely disappointing that our members have yet to receive an offer in writing despite APEX and Northland DHB first meeting to negotiate on the 12 th of June 2018," APEX advocate Denise Tairua said.

"We most recently met on the 6 th of December, a further meeting to present an offer was scheduled for the 19 th of December but was cancelled that morning, and since then no offer has been forthcoming, the ball is in the DHB’s court to make our members an offer."
