A petition to introduce koalas to New Zealand continues to attract support.
However, experts here are saying it's a nice idea, but it's not a good one.
There's over 20,000 hectares of eucalyptus across the country and more than 10,000 people want the threatened species to make our country their new home.
But Auckland Zoo says there's not enough evidence to support the idea, when compared to the risks it may pose to our own wildlife and ecosystems.
It says the emphasis needs to be on encouraging work to protect these animals in their native country.
