Person with serious injuries shows up at stranger's home in Nelson

Police are investigating after a person with serious injuries came to a stranger's home following a serious assault in Nelson last night.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Waimea Road at around 10.45pm, police confirmed to 1 NEWS.

The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Police are making inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
