Person dies on way to hospital after boating crash in Marlborough

A boatie has died on the way to hospital after being involved in a crash with another boat yesterday evening.

Police said in a statement this morning that they were called to the collision in Ōkiwi Bay, a small town in the Marlborough Sounds, at about 7.25pm yesterday.

One person died and two others were injured.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
