Person dies in crash at Dairy Flat, Auckland

One person has died following a crash at Dairy Flat in Auckland's north today.

Police say the person died in hospital following the accident on Kahikatea Flat Road this morning.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the crash.

The crash brings to the official Christmas/New Year holiday road toll to eight. 

The road toll period started on Christmas Eve and ends on January 5, 2021.

It has surpassed the 2019 holiday period road toll of six.
