Person dead after falling from quad bike in Ohakune

A person has died after falling from a quad bike in Ohakune today.

St John told 1 NEWS they were called about 10.40am. A helicopter and two ambulances were sent to the scene on Kopurutuku Road.

Police and Fire and Emergency New Zealand also attended.

WorkSafe has been notified and is making inquiries, a spokesperson told 1 NEWS.
