Person critically injured after crash in South Auckland

A crash has caused delays on part of the South-Western SH20A at at Mangere, Auckland and left one person critically injured.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 9am this morning after the car crashed into a barrier. 

The accident occurred westbound on SH20A on the route to the airport.  

One lane is blocked as a result and motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
