Pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Rolleston

A person is dead after an early-morning collision this morning in Rolleston near Christchurch.

Police said the incident was reported about 4.55am.

The crash involved a car and a pedestrian, police said, and the person involved has died.

A road closure is in place on Maddisons Road and the Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
