Pedestrian critically injured after being hit by car in east Auckland

A pedestrian has been critically injured after getting hit by a car in east Auckland this afternoon.

The person was seriously injured following the incident on Reeves Road, in Pakuranga, at 5.40pm. Source: 1 NEWS

Police say the incident occurred on Reeves Road, in Pakuranga, at about 5.30pm.

The woman was transported by ambulance to Auckland City Hospital, the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust told 1 NEWS.  

Cordons will be in place around Pakuranga Plaza for the next few hours and motorists are advised to avoid the area.

It comes after a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car in Māngere, in South Auckland, yesterday.
