Palmerston North 'Creep Catcher' paedophile hunter arrested, charged

A Palmerston North man who has been accusing people of paedophilia then posting videos exposing them online has been arrested.

The New Zealand Herald and Fairfax named the man as Connor Bevins, 20, who is accused of pretending to be a minor online to lure out potential paedophiles and then post the videos on 'Creep catcher' Facebook pages.

Police confirmed the man is facing several charges relating to The Harmful Digital Communications Act and is also facing a charge relating to intimidation.

Police have seized electronic devices and have asked him to leave Taupo and return to Palmerston North.

He is due to appear in the Palmerston North District Court next week.
