November 21, 2018
Transpower is warning those in the affected area that power could be out for some time.

Only 390 Dunedin homes remain without power following a planned outage in the South Island this morning.

Power to the remaining properties is expected to be restored by 6pm.

It comes after more than 1200 households in Roslyn were left without power this morning in the planned outage.

Aurora Energy had power restored just before 9am.

Around 86 homes in central Otago were also without power due to the weather, including 76 properties in Alexandra, and 10 in Wanaka.

Crews are onsite and hope to have power restored by midday.
