Firefighters free driver of van who was trapped after rolling vehicle near Wellington

Emergency services have freed the driver of a van who rolled his vehicle on State Highway 2 between Wellington and Petone.

The driver was taken to Hutt Hospital with moderate injuries while two other people were treated at the scene of the crash which occurred at 11.40am, Wellington Free Ambulance told 1 NEWS.

The crash prompted the closure of all but one of the northbound lanes. However, the road has now been cleared.
