One person hospitalised with smoke inhalation after house fire in Christchurch

Senior station officer Danny Carmine talked about the morning blaze where one person was taken to hospital.

One person has been taken to hospital in a moderate condition after suffering smoke inhalation in a Christchurch house fire.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand told 1 NEWS five crews attended the blaze in Radnor Street, St Albans, shortly before 9.30am today.

The house was fully engulfed by flames on arrival, they said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
