One person dies in South Auckland house fire

The blaze started just before 10pm Sunday at the Mangere property.

A house fire in the South Auckland suburb of Mangere has left one person dead last night.

A Fire and Emergency spokesperson confirmed emergency services were called at 9.50pm yesterday, to the scene of the fire on Church Rd, Mangere Bridge.

There were nine fire trucks battling the blaze at the scene.

No surrounding properties were damaged.
